We stock and process two systems in depth — sintered NdFeB and hard ferrite — and source SmCo and AlNiCo for the applications that genuinely need them. If a cheaper grade does the same job, we say so.
Highest force per volume. N35–N52 with H/SH/UH temperature classes. Needs coating against corrosion; standard grades lose force above 80 °C.
Br up to 14.8 kGsY25–Y35. A third of the price, no coating needed, survives 250 °C and salt spray. The default for door catches and any cost-driven part.
250 °C capableFor 250–350 °C environments and corrosion resistance without plating. Brittle and significantly dearer — specified when NdFeB genuinely cannot survive.
up to 350 °CLow coercivity but excellent temperature stability to 450 °C+. Chosen for sensors and meter movements where the field must not drift.
up to 450 °C| If your priority is… | Choose | Because |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum force, smallest size | NdFeB | Energy product 3–4× ferrite |
| Lowest cost per part | Ferrite | Raw material and no plating line |
| Humidity, salt, no coating | Ferrite | Inherently corrosion-resistant |
| High temperature, strong field | SmCo or NdFeB-SH/UH | HcJ holds above 150 °C |
| Stable field for sensing | AlNiCo / SmCo | Reversible temperature coefficient is small |
